HEALTH EDUCATION/IEC Activities in RIMS
Jana Vignana Vedika(JVV) which expanded its activities in RIMS is trying to promote health through various IEC/BCC activities including educating the patients and their attendants on personal hygine,hand washing,toilet usage,etc.
Display boards are inserted at college,hospital OPD,casuality with regular insertion of health education messages.
Various workshops had been conducted on skill training for medicos on suturing techiniques,cardio pulmonary resuscitation,neonatal resuscitation, ,etc. by JVV.
Recently JVV started bookclubs for promoting reading habit among medicos.A weekly study circle is organized to discuss on the top 100 literature in the world Eg.Stephen Covey’s “Seven habits of highly effective people” and Robin Sharma’s “The monk who sold away his ferrari”.
JVV in coordination with RIMS blood bank is trying to establish blood donor groups in support of the blood bank among various educational institutions.
